Here is a glimpse of the pieces at the show "Changing Surfaces", at the Carnegie Gallery.  The opening was a huge success, lots of people, the atmosphere was celebratory, as the gallery was opening it's newly renovated space.  The four artists showing: Maureen Steuart, Wayne Allan, Marilyn Clarke and myself, Supria Karmakar.  The Hamilton Spectator's review here.  The exhibit is up until June 26th, 2011

  1. Oh Supria, I am humbled. Thank you so much for commenting on my artwork. Very kind words. I am in awe of your artwork. It has that mystical presence and yet it is sunny, humorous, and positive. All I can say is WOW. But, you were brought to me and I feel there is always a reason. I am working on a piece with a dark subject..insane asylum... and the piece is dark. I am stuggling with lightening up the canvas and the mood, but so far, no luck. Looking at your creativity has encouraged and inspired me. Again, WOW. I will have to let it soak in for a bit...another cup of coffee. I have been to Fergus, Elora, and Waterloo. Usually I vacation in Stratford/London/Bayfield. I'm hoping our paths will cross. Sincere good wishes. Beth
